【摘要】:TSCsareusedinanumberofcriticalindustrialcomponents.TSCscanbeexpectedtocontainmeasurablelevelsofporosityandlineardetachment.Accurateandconsistentevaluationofspecimensisessentialtoensuretheintegrityofthecoatingandproperadherencetothesubstrate.Example1:Byuseofinappropriatemetallographicmethods,theapparentamountofporosityandlineardetachmentdisplayedbyagivenspecimencanbeincreased,byexcessiveedgerounding,ordecreasedbysmearingofmaterialintovoids.Thereforeinaccuratelevelsofporosityandlineardetachmentwillbereportedevenwhentheaccuracyofthemeasurementtechniqueisacceptable.Example2:Inconsistentmetallographicpreparationmethodscancausetheapparentamountofvoidstovaryexcessivelyindicatingapoorlycontrolledthermalsprayprocess,whiletheuseofconsistentpracticewillregularlydisplaythetruemicrostructureandverifytheconsistencyofthethermalsprayprocess.DuringthedevelopmentofTSCprocedures,metallographicinformationisnecessarytovalidatetheefficacyofaspecificapplication.Crosssectionsareusuallytakenperpendiculartothelongaxisofthespecimenandpreparedtorevealinformationconcerningthefollowing:Variationsinstructurefromsurfacetosubstrate,Thedistributionofunmeltedparticlesthroughoutthecoating,Thedistributionoflineardetachmentthroughoutthecoating,Thedistributionofporositythroughoutthecoating,Thepresenceofcontaminationwithinthecoating,Thethicknessofthecoating(topcoatandbondcoat,whereapplicable),Thepresenceofinterfacialcontamination,Theintegrityoftheinterfacebetweenthecoatingandsubstrate,and,Theintegrityofthecoatingmicrostructurewithrespecttochemistry.1.1Thisguidecoversrecommendationsforsectioning,cleaning,mounting,grinding,andpolishingtorevealthemicrostructuralfeaturesofthermalsprayedcoatings(TSCs)andthesubstratestowhichtheyareappliedwhenexaminedmicroscopically.Becauseofthediversityofavailableequipment,thewidevarietyofcoatingandsubstratecombinations,andthesensitivityofthesespecimenstopreparationtechnique,theexistenceofaseriesofrecommendedmethodsformetallographicpreparationofthermalsprayedcoatingspecimensishelpful.Adherencetothisguidewillprovidepractitionerswithconsistentandreproducibleresults.AdditionalinformationconcerningstandardpracticesformetallographicpreparationcanbefoundinPracticeE3.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:ThispartofISO8529specifiesthereferenceneutronradiations,intheenergyrangefromthermalupto20MeV,forcalibratingneutron-measuringdevicesusedforradiationprotectionpurposesandfordeterminingtheirresponseasafunctionofneutronenergy.Referenceradiationsaregivenforneutronfluenceratesofupto1×10m·-s,corresponding,ataneutronenergyof1MeV,todose-equivalentratesofupto100mSv·h.ThispartofISO8529isconcernedonlywiththemethodsofproducingandcharacterizingtheneutronreferenceradiations.TheproceduresforapplyingtheseradiationsforcalibrationsaredescribedinISO8529-2andISO8529-3.Thereferenceradiationsspecifiedarethefollowing:—neutronsfromradionuclidesources,includingneutronsfromsourcesinamoderator;—neutronsproducedbynuclearreactionswithchargedparticlesfromaccelerators;—neutronsfromreactors.Inviewofthemethodsofproductionanduseofthem,thesereferenceradiationsaredivided,forthepurposesofthispartofISO8529,intothefollowingtwoseparatesections.—Inclause4,radionuclideneutronsourceswithwidespectraarespecifiedforthecalibrationofneutron-measuringdevices.Thesesourcesshouldbeusedbylaboratoriesengagedintheroutinecalibrationofneutron-measuringdevices,theparticulardesignofwhichhasalreadybeentypetested.—Inclause5,accelerator-producedmonoenergeticneutronsandreactor-producedneutronswithwideorquasimonoenergeticspectraarespecifiedfordeterminingtheresponseofneutron-measuringdevicesasafunctionofneutronenergy.Sincethesereferenceradiationsareproducedatspecializedandwellequippedlaboratories,onlytheminimumofexperimentaldetailisgiven.Fortheconversionofneutronfluenceintothequantitiesrecommendedforradiationprotectionpurposes,conversioncoefficientshavebeencalculatedbasedonthespectrapresentedinnormativeannexAandusingthefluence-to-dose-equivalentconversioncoefficientsasafunctionofneutronenergyasgiveninICRPPublication74andICRUReport57.
